When you have an hour and want to deeply release your shoulders and hips, strengthen your core and turn your world upside down!

This well-rounded flow invites you to honor where you are in the moment, and cultivate patience with the ups and downs of practice...and life. You can expect a gentle warm up, sun salutations, a dynamic flowing sequence, core work, hip opening, heart opening, spinal twists, and savasana. Enjoy, yogis!

A little "movement snack" for days when you're short on time but want to get your heart pumping and your breath flowing, and use the heat to open your shoulders, hips, hamstrings and quads! We play with standing balance and inversions, too. Who says you can't get a lot done in 16 minutes? Not Angela!

We start out with some grounding and breathing, a few minutes to "arrive" in the body and connect to sensation. We move into a slow and steady flow, and then a standing sequence that is foundational, with long holds so you can feel your way in and stay curious. We build enough heat to get to the floor and deeply open the hips, shoulders, and hamstrings. Please be sure to have two blocks and a strap handy. There are options for everything, and building blocks as well. Hip opening includes double pigeon, gomukhasana, and half lotus variations if appropriate, or knee-friendly poses if not. You may want the strap for shoulder opening or for some of the wraps. This practice is designed to calm your nervous system and open every major muscle group, deeply. Lots of love xx

Wanna work on a little side-body length and strength? Me, too! Grab a couple of blocks and a strap and let's play. You can dial this practice up or down depending on your energy level and how open you're feeling. Maybe you'll head into visvamitrasana or the building blocks to get there, but we'll definitely open it all up, strengthen the core and walk away feeling energized and centered.

A practice for these times, friends. We start with some grounding, breathing, and awareness of sensation so we can get present. Then we head into an energizing flow that targets shoulder, hip and hamstring opening, with extra love for your hips. Eka pada koundinyasana 2 is in the playlist today, along with the building blocks to get there, or hip-opening options if you need to take it easy today. Core strengthening, but of course. And a reminder to cultivate compassion and friendliness toward yourself, so essential right now. Sending you lots of love.

This is an intermediate-to-advanced flow where you can dial things up or down based on your level, and what feels right today. Emphasis is on core strength, and we'll start out on the floor with a block, and feel our way right into that center! Once we're on our feet, you can expect lots of opportunities to play with balance and flexibility, and plenty of front and back-body opening so that you walk away from your mat feeling centered and balanced and ready for whatever comes your way. Give yourself this time to be right where you are, strong in your center, breathing. Enjoy, yogis! 2 blocks and a strap might be helpful, one block is necessary :)

I'm labeling this an intermediate class because I did not spend much time talking about alignment, so if you are newer, a beginner class will be better for you! Having said that, for those of you with an established practice, this is a foundational, steady session with longer holds and lots of time to breathe. It is a perfect end-of-day class you can even do in your pajamas right before bed like I did, it is not a sweaty flow (I know I used the word flow in the little introduction, forgive me). This practice is about calming the nervous system, and is good for any time you're feeling anxiety or depression, a loss of control, or just need to get in your body and breathe. Sending lots of love to all x

Enjoy a well-rounded flow that focuses on embracing the present moment as the ultimate fresh start. What to expect: a gentle warm up, sun salutations, standing poses, arm balancing, core strengthening, and heart and hip opening, with a friendly reminder that every breath offers a new beginning. (This was filmed the week before the wildfires, thus the upbeat tone and theme. Though we will need to begin again and again out here, no doubt. Love to all xx)

This is a fun, thorough, energizing, hip-opening flow that leads to flying pigeon (and gives you the building blocks to get there if you aren't quite ready to take flight yet). You will notice a wildfire alert go off about halfway through this class, because that's how life has been out here this last week. This was filmed before we knew how bad things would get. We are all okay, thankfully, we are all breathing and practicing, heartbroken and grief stricken and sending you love, nonetheless. We appreciate all the love in return very much.

We start slow, then flow. Lots of stretching, strength, standing poses with an emphasis on hips and sacrum. Enjoy eagle and cow faced pose. Finish up with backbends, an inversion, and twists.
