If you've been thinking that it would be great for your kids to do yoga, you're right! There's nothing like developing a breathing practice at a young age so you can self-soothe and face life's challenges with ease and strength. This course is made up of three classes, all perfect for kids ages 7 to 15.
Got kids? Me, too! Wish they'd start yoga early? This is for you and for them! An introduction to yoga that includes ocean-sounding (or Darth Vader) breath, some hissing in cobra pose and tail-wagging in down-dog, a breakdown of sun salutations and classic standing poses, and a lot of emphasis on the power of breathing deeply, focusing, and developing a gratitude practice :)
Our second session in the Kids' Yoga course. One of the main concepts when we practice yoga is that we inhale when we expand, and exhale when we contract. We play with that idea throughout this practice, which includes sun salutes, warrior 3, backbends, and hip and hamstring openers. Your little is going to feel really good after this!
Our third class in the Kids' Yoga course! Before bed, or any time your young one needs to calm down! Lots of breath and forward folding to calm the nervous system. Guided meditation into savasana (or bed :))
