My yoga classes aim to awaken inner resources for personal healing and to bring students into alignment with their full potential to thrive both on and off the mat. I balance precise asana instruction and alignment with intention, breath, flow, meditation, and music in classes carefully themed to deepen the student's understanding of yoga.
My classes are infused with love! I focus on the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit while guiding everyone to work at their own pace in a safe, playful, and transformative environment. I encourage students to cultivate authentic self-worth, experience presence in their entire being, and tread the path to higher consciousness.
Central to my teaching is a belief that the more people learn to be present to themselves, the more they are likely to become present to their communities and the greater world. My prayer and vision is that we all rise up and become the light and healing our world so dearly needs.
I received my 200 hour Certification from Center for Yoga in 2004, participated in the Work-scholar Program at Esalen Institute in 2006, and earned my B.A. from Naropa University in 2007. My Major was Traditional Eastern Arts with a 1,000 hour Yoga Teacher Training Concentration; my Minor was Somatic Psychology. In 2008 I graduated from The Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing with a 550 hour Massage Certification. That same year I lived at a wellness center in Auroville, India where I taught yoga and dance. In 2010 I received my professional training to practice Holistic Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I graduated from Sofia University in 2013 with my M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology and a Specialization in Transpersonal Life Coaching. In 2014 I produced a yoga DVD titled The Yoga of Food: A Whole Person Approach to Eating and in 2016 I produced a meditation CD titled Body Love, Soul Purpose. In 2017 I went on to co-found Body Love, Soul Purpose as a community organization with my good friend Rachel.
I currently practice and teach in Los Angeles and lead retreats worldwide. I love the LA beach community and live in El Segundo with my partner Josh.
