Grab a couple, and we'll use them for deep core work, fun arm balances, and a great assist as we open the hips, hamstrings, IT band and shoulders - so we can play with twists, binds, standing balance, some deeper backbends, balancing on our hands, and balancing in our hearts, too.

A Ganesha-inspired practice designed to free the path in front of you, so energy can flow in spite of obstacles (or because of them). This practice is about protecting yourself from toxic energy. We start with the Brahma Mudra to assert our own power while we open the heart space. Brahma is the energy of creation, so as we flow we'll work with the idea of elimination. Sometimes we need to release old stories or current thoughts that aren't serving us, and sometimes toxic energy is coming at us from the environment. Either way, we can't be our best selves or help anyone else if we're bogged down in that stuff, so get ready to flow, sweat, breathe, release and walk away from your mat feeling open - knowing that you've cultivated strength and are ready to release what isn't serving you, and face anything that comes your way.

This practice with Kate focuses on the legs and hips, giving the shoulders and wrists a little break, and reminding you of the strength in your foundation, and how good it feels when you tap into it! This is a slow-paced flow, intense and deep. Good for days when you want to tap into your inner strength, or for an evening practice when you're ready to work before you rest in some delicious hip openers. Enjoy! You may want a strap if your hamstrings tend to be on the tighter side, and a blanket if your knees are sensitive. Enjoy, yogis.
