Finding the sweet spot between opening your upper back and shoulders and keeping your core engaged is the goal of this flow. Plenty of full-body love expressed along the way. There are even some plyometrics for added fun.
Oh my gosh did we have fun putting this together for you! This rise-and-shine has it all - hip, hamstring and shoulder opening, core and upper body strengthening, endurance-training mentally and physically, standing balance and arm balance and emotional balance! Can't think of a better way to start the day...and we had LAUGHS, too! Grab your mat and let's do this!
In this class we will warm up the body with a short flow and then we will get right into our deep divine backbends! You will receive step by step instructions on how to achieve your best heart openers no matter what level or style you practice.
This practice supports health, wholeness and balance at every level of your being. Use the rhythm of your breath as the foundation of the practice. Be open to whatever arrives with curiosity, kindness and non-judgment. You can expect intention setting, cat-cow, series A, a warrior flow, extended side angle, half moon, wild thing, malasana, navasana, reverse table top, inversions, bridge, happy baby pose, thread the needle, forward folds, spinal twists and a restful savasana. Enjoy, yogis!
A super sweaty, super fun flow where we fire up your core, open the hips, hamstrings and shoulders deeply and get on our hands throughout! Think koundinyasana II, bakasana, tittibhasana, firefly and fun transitions. A little handstand play at the end with optional hippy variations. Savasana is gonna feel gooooood!!!
Our adductors and abductors are extremely important yet often overlooked muscles. In this short flow we move through a series of exercises designed to activate and strengthen them. This is a great warm-up for a longer balance-oriented class or simply a great way to loosen up quickly.
Stressed out with your "to do" lists? Slow down and flow. Go from "doing" mode into "being"mode. This class is well-rounded filled with long holds and lots of movement. Relish in the warm up, build heat and challenge yourself with the standing poses, and then sink into deep hip openers and forward folds.
